Brexit: May's Parliament Defeats Her Again

Prime Minister Theresa May was dealt another blow on her Brexit strategy on Thursday.

Reuters reports Brexit supporters in May's Conservative Party decided to abstain from Thursday's vote.

May has been attempting to renegotiate her deal with the EU in order to avoid a no-deal Brexit.

The main point of contention is the Irish β€œbackstop." The next vote will take place Feb.

27.

β€œThe government will continue to pursue this with the EU to ensure we leave on time on 29th March.
