Senate Confirms Bill Barr As US Attorney General

According to Reuters, the US Senate has confirmed William Barr as the nation's attorney general.

The Senate voted 54-to-45 to confirm Barr, with most senators voting along party lines.

Now confirmed, Barr could be sworn in as the 85th US Attorney General by the end of the week.

Bill Barr previously served at the post during the George.


Bush administration.

Serving as the 77th US Attorney General, Barr's first tenure as AG lasted from 1991 to 1993.
