Smokey Robinson Defends Jennifer Lopez's Grammy Motown Tribute Lopez took the stage alongside Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo and Smokey Robinson to perform a ballad of Motown hits at the 2019 Grammys.

Prior to the show, Lopez said she wanted to dedicate the performance to her mother, Lupe.

But many viewers took to Twitter to criticize the performance, citing the fact that Lopez is Hispanic, not African American.

But Smokey Robinson doesn't see what all the fuss is about.
