Trump Accuses U.S. Intelligence Chiefs Of Being 'Passive & Naive' On Iran

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, President Donald Trump accused US intelligence chiefs of being 'extremely passive and naive' on Iran and dismissed their assessments of the threat posed by North Korea one day after they contradicted his views while giving congressional testimony.

On Tuesday, leaders of the U.S. intelligence community told a Senate committee that the nuclear threat from North Korea persists and that Iran is not taking steps toward making a nuclear bomb, conclusions that contrast starkly with Trump’s assessments of those countries.

Trump cited Iranian rocket launches and claimed that Tehran was β€œcoming very close to the edge.”
