Kanye West Sues Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records and Label EMI

The rapper has filed two separate lawsuits, claiming he's owed money by Roc-A-Fella and EMI.

It is unclear how much money West is looking to recoup.

In the lawsuits, West describes 2000 as a “breakout year” He produced Jay-Z’s album, 'The Blueprint,' and co-wrote four of the songs.

Kanye and Jay-Z's friendship seemingly started to drift apart in 2014 when Jay-Z and Beyoncé did not attend the wedding of West and Kim Kardashian.
