(SOUNDBITE) (English) FRANCE CAPTAIN YANNICK NOAH, SAYING: "I cannot ask my players to have courage on break points and not having it myself.

So yes, this is my break point.

I go and tell my players - which most of the time are my friends, you know I love these guys - tell them that you know you're doing good which was the case for Lucas (Pouille), get ready in case I need you on Sunday, but for Friday I think it's Jeremy (Chardy).

That's part of my job." 2.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) FRANCE PLAYER JEREMY CHARDY, SAYING: "It will be a difficult match for me and I know it, but I've beaten him in the past too so it will be different.

It's the final, so everything is different whether you're better ranking or not, it doesn't matter.

I think you have to go full on this match." 3.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CROATIA CAPTAIN ŽELJKO KRAJAN , SAYING: "It's prime time now, I mean everything is behind us, all the practices, all the days of preparations, all the waiting that we did from winning the semis to getting to here and just one more day to get on to that great court that we have and just to put everything on the court, leave our heart, leave everything you have in you and try to be better." 4.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CROATIA PLAYER MARIN CILIC, SAYING: "Well, for me I feel that the preparation every single time is the same for every single match, so it's going to be the same like this one against Jo, it's a big one, it's a big weight on the match but I have a feeling that I prepared well, that I did the best I can do with my preparation and I'm going to try to play my best tennis on the court." STORY: France captain Yannick Noah sprang a surprise at Thursday's (November 22) Davis Cup final draw ceremony when he named Jeremy Chardy and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as his singles players for the opening day's action in Lille.

Already without the likes of Richard Gasquet and Gael Monfils for the final against Croatia, Noah decided to leave out the top-ranked player in his team Lucas Pouille.

World number 40 Chardy will open the tie on Friday against Croatia's Borna Coric with Tsonga then taking on Marin Cilic.

Cilic and Coric are ranked seventh and 12th respectively.

Saturday's doubles will see home pair Nicolas Mahut and Pierre Hugues-Herbert take on Mate Pavic and Ivan Dodig.

Sunday's reverse singles would see Tsonga face Coric and Chardy take on Cilic although the captains are allowed to change their teams. France are the defending champions and are trying to win the title for the 11th time, while Croatia are seeking to repeat their triumph of 2005 when they won the cup in Slovakia.
