Firefighters Rescue Dogs From Kennels Amid Severe Flooding in Southern Italy

Emergency services in Italy said 250 dogs were rescued from flooded kennels in the Calabria region on October 5 as severe flooding continued to affect the south of the country.The flooding prompted emergency evacuations and flight cancellations, local reports said.

Officials said a mother and son were killed in the town of Lamezia Terme after getting caught in the floodwater.This footage was shared by the Italy’s fire service, who said it was filmed as the dogs were rescued from a kennel in Ciro Marina, Calabria, on Friday.
