North Carolina Governor Warns Hurricane Damage Is 'Going To Get Worse'

Hurricane Florence crashed into the Carolinas on Friday, knocking down trees and swamping streets.

Now the storm has slowed to a pace that will plague the area with days of flooding, says Reuters.

At a news conference, North Carolina Gov.

Roy Cooper said, "It's going to get worse." The hurricane has already brought a "wall of water" to the town of New Bern.

Gov.

Cooper warned North Carolina residents in the storm's path to "please stay sheltered in place.”
