GOP candidate Tenney tours BAE Systems in Endicott

Is newschannel 34.republic candidate claudia tenney was in our area today to learn more about what she can do to help manufacturers in the district.

Tenney took a tour of the bae manufacturing plant located on hayes avenue in endicott.

Before the tour, she took a ride on a hybri-drive-powered bus.

Hybri-drive is a propulsion system produced and manufactured by bae that converts energy to allow the bus to operate electronically.

Tenney commended bae on its programs to keep local high schoolers and college grads working in the southern tier.

She says our area needs employers of all sizes to create a thriving economy.

The southern tier along with the utica-rome area are considered some of the worst economies in the nation.

Companies like this have the opportunity to grow and to create jobs and a great quality of life in the broome county area.

She was also in our area over the weekend campaigning door to door.

Tenney is facing democrat kim myers of vestal and independent candidate martin babinec of the utica area for the seat being vacated by retiring congressman richard hanna.
