VARIOUS OF PLAYERS AT TRAINING STORY: England prepared on Friday (July 13) to fight for the World Cup's third-place against Belgium after suffering a crushing disappointment in their semi-final against Croatia.

Gareth Southgate's team lost 2-1 after extra time in Wednesday's second semi-final and Belgium were beaten 1-0 by France a day earlier.

The two teams previously met in their final group stage game when both had already guaranteed a place in the last 16.

Belgium won 1-0 and was rewarded with games against Japan, Brazil and France while England played Colombia, Sweden and Croatia but the end result for both sides was the same - semi-final elimination.

They will meet again in St Petersburg on Saturday (kick off 1400GMT).
