HALEP TRAINING STORY: World number one Simona Halep unveiled her Olympic ambitions on Saturday (June 30) in the wake of her maiden grand slam victory at this year's French Open.

The Romanian wore down Sloane Stephens for a 3-6 6-4 6-1 victory earlier this month and told reporters at Wimbledon that her sights were now set on an Olympic medal.

Halep will face Japan's Kurumi Nara in the opening round of this year's Wimbledon championship.
