U.S. Still Hopeful For North Korea Summit

On Wednesday, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said that the United States is still hopeful about a planned summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, but President Donald Trump is prepared for a tough negotiation process.

North Korea threw next month’s summit between Kim and Trump into doubt on Wednesday, threatening weeks of diplomatic progress.

The North said it may reconsider the meeting if Washington insists it unilaterally gives up its nuclear weapons.
