Elizabeth Holmes Charges With Fraud

The SEC has charged Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes with "massive fraud." Theranos made numerous false and misleading statements in investor presentations, product demonstrations, and media articles. At the time, the company was raising more than $700 million. Holmes founded Theranos back in 2003 when she was 19. Holmes relinquished control of the company and paid a $500k fine. As part of the settlement, neither the Company nor Ms. Holmes admitted or denied any wrongdoing..
