President of South Africa Given Two Days to Step Down

South Africa's ruling party, the African National Congress, has given the country's President Jacob Zuma 48 hours to resign.

According to Reuters, the news was announced on state television after an eight-hour party meeting Monday.

Since new ANC party leader Cyril Ramaphosa was voted in as party leader in December, Zuma has faced mounting calls from his party to end his scandal-plagued second term a year early..
