Trump Cuts Aid To Central America Over Migrants
According to Reuters, President Donald Trump’s administration has announced plans to permanently divert hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The diversion of aid is in response to thousands of citizens from the three countries seeking asylum at the U.S. border with Mexico. Lawmakers who opposed the plan said it was cruel to cut off aid to countries grappling with hunger and crime.
