Trial To Begin Of Man Charged With Charlottesville Rally Murder
Reuters reports that James Fields Jr. is set to go on trial Monday. Fields is accused of killing Heather Heyer when he drove his car into a crowd of counter-protesters at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Fields was one of hundreds of white nationalists who attended the β€œUnite the Right” rally on Aug. 12, 2017. Prosecutors say that Fields plowed his car into people protesting the event, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer, and injuring 19 others.
