Hurricane Florence Emerges
Tropical storms very much appear to be on the horizon again for the US as it emerges that Florence, a high-grade storm, could be set to destroy homes and businesses over the next few days as it sweeps inland towards the Carolinas and Virginia. It’s also thought to be set to hover over Georgia in the coming weeks, meaning families have already been advised to evacuate completely. It’s a storm to keep your eye on.

Trump Denies Hurricane Figures
Hurricanes have been in the news elsewhere this week, too – as US President Donald Trump has suggested that Democrats are to blame for inflating the death toll of hurricanes felt across Puerto Rico. Trump’s words arise in the face of further research into what is being suggested as the genuine fatality toll of up to 3,000 people, while US figures suggest only 64 people lost their lives.

Apple Day has been and gone, and with it, a set of new smartphones and a brand new smartwatch to marvel at. Expect to pay over $1000 for the biggest and best on the market soon – the iPhone XS Max – with the promise that the latest line are the most advanced phones of their kind. The new Apple Watch model is sleeker designed and has a new focus on health monitoring – but will this all be enough to entice a majority public?
