Is North Korea Flip-Flopping Over US Summit?
Just days after Kim Jong-Un confirmed that he would be meeting with US President Donald Trump via historical summit in Singapore later this June, Pyongyang press issued a statement regarding US security representative John Bolton – as the US continues to profess that they wish for North Korea to dismantle and decommission their nuclear arsenal. North Korea aren’t too pleased – and warn that unless the US tones down its rhetoric ahead of the meeting, they may have to ‘reconsider’ their participation.
Yanny or Laurel?
Chances are if you’ve read any mainstream media pieces this week or have been active on social media you will have heard of the latest viral test – where it seems that from one sound clip of an automated voice reportedly saying the name ‘Laurel’, many are hearing ‘Yanny’ instead. It’s the blue/gold dress saga all over again – and even the White House got involved, with Donald Trump poking fun at himself claiming he could hear ‘covfefe’ instead.
Bill Cosby Set to be Sentenced
It’s not been long since US TV legend Bill Cosby was convicted on three counts of sexual assault – and it won’t be long until he’s sentenced for such crimes. He’ll be informed of the amount of time he’ll spend behind bars later this September, with the assumed maximum sentencing available believed to be up to thirty years in total.
The Royal Wedding Approaches – After Some Mayhem
Anyone hoping that the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this weekend would go without a mishap may well have been reading and watching the news in recent days behind their fingers – as some of the Markle family have made themselves infamous to press with a number of very public statements about how they feel about upcoming nuptials. Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, will not be attending the wedding – he’s recently undergone heart surgery – with Prince Charles reportedly taking her down the aisle instead.
