Feds pledge more funds to target violence against Native American women

For decades, Native American women have been disappearing across both the US and Canada with little law enforcement recognition or media coverage. The US Justice Department plans to do more.

Despite Equal Pay Act, Native American Women Make Ridiculously Low Wages
According to the Huffington Post, September 28th is America's Native Women Equal Pay Day. To catch up to the average white man's wages, a Native American woman needs to work nine extra months! It's been illegal since 1963 for employers to pay any employee less based only on their gender. More than 50 years have passed, but wage disparities between men and women in the U.S. persist. Experts say America’s gender wage gap won’t close until 2059 if its trajectory remains on the current course.
