Covid: India hits highest 1-day count of cases

India recorded its highest single-day peaks in Covid-19 deaths as well fresh cases on Wednesday even as the number of recovered patients breached the six-lakh mark. With a phenomenal surge in daily cases in the last fortnight, the country’s caseload as well as addition to active cases in the 15 days of July is close to the corresponding figures for the entire month of June.
