New Progressive US House Members Protest During Orientation
Business Insider reports newly-elected progressive members of Congress led a rally on Tuesday at Harvard in support of single-payer healthcare, gun control, and laws to fight climate change, in lieu of a scheduled event during their new member orientation. On Thursday, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic Socialist from New York, protested corporate influence at the three-day orientation for new Congress members, hosted by the Harvard Institute of Politics.
