Wary Maharashtra puts strict curbs on travel from Delhi, Raj, Guj, Goa

Worried by the prospect of a post-Diwali surge in Covid-19 cases, the Maharashtra government on Monday imposed stringent restrictions on people travelling to the state from New Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa, which have recently seen a spike in numbers. Within the state too, health minister Rajesh Tope said the government may initiate measures to strictly enforce mask-wearing and social distancing norms and even bring in curbs to regulate movement in crowded areas.
