Now, anyone can buy land in Kashmir, government notifies order

Any person from outside Jammu and Kashmir can now buy land in the Union Territory. Though the new laws were in the offing, they reflect the changed political and administrative landscape after Article 370 became a dead letter in J&K. A senior minister said the process was intended to make laws applicable to the rest of India to become the legal tender in the UT as well.
