Summit of Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano Erupts, Bellowing a Massive Plume of Ash and Smoke

Kilauea's summit erupted on Thursday morning, sending a giant mass of ash and smoke into the air over Hawaii's Big Island which is expected to cover the surrounding area, according to CNN. The U.S. Geological Survey said the cloud reached more than 30,000 feet, which is just below the cruising altitude of a commercial jetliner....
