A Reuters report claims that Apple is in discussions with a number of companies that sell next-generation lidar sensors, a technology essential to help autonomous vehicle systems understand their surroundings. Based on Apple's continued interest in lidar technology, its likely that the company's ambition to create a self-driving car, known as Project Titan.
