The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita will be one of 100 nationwide sites for a clinical trial testing a Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine AZD1222 was developed by Oxford University and purchased by AstraZeneca. The KU School of Medicine's Center for Clinical Research will lead the local effort, traveling with its mobile unit to high-risk areas of Wichita and the area.
