FRANCE 24 English
Télam was an Argentine government-ran national news agency founded in 1945. It was temporarily shut down in March 2024 by the government of president Javier Milei, although it is unclear whether it may reopen or be closed permanently. It provides news and information to about 300 subscribers, including government entities and national and international media, which was operated as a state enterprise.
