In the wake of the allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein, the Weinstein Company seems to be on the brink of collapse. As to what will happen with the company, that remains to be seen seen. Multiple reports have surfaced regarding the future of the Weinstein Company's fate. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company was planning to get a new name and operate independently. However, new reports suggest that interested buyers have approached the company to purchase it. The Weinstein company was set to produce a big-screen adaptation of "In The Heights," the hit Broadway musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda. However, Miranda has since requested that Weinstein company release the project.
