The popular hashtag, #WomenBoycottTwitter is taking the internet by storm today. The boycott began after actress Rose McGowan's account was locked while detailing Hollywood Producer Harvey Weinstein’s misconduct. The social media platform claimed they suspended her account after she posted a private cellphone number, but the timing caused user user Kelly Ellis to start the now-trending #WomenBoycottTwitter for solidarity with β€œall the victims of hate and harassment Twitter fails to support.” At the time of this article, the hash tag, WomenBoycottTwitter already generated more than 4,000 tweet.
