Microsoft and Amazon are now working together to help spread artificial intelligence across apps. The big powerhouses have released a new tool for developers called Gluon as a free and open source project. This means anyone can use it, work on it and contribute to it for free. But besides that they are also using Gluon against their war with Google on cloud computing. They are hoping to add Gluon on top of their competing MXNet and CNTK programs so as to be at the same level of Google's cloud computing.
