The life of supreme court justice Thurgood Marshall is heading to the big screen this weekend. In the film Marshall (Chadwick Boseman) plays the rabble-rousing lawyer traveling the country for the NAACP. In 1940, Marshall found himself headed to the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut, to defend one Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown). Spell was a black chauffeur accused of raping, kidnapping, and attempting to murder his employer’s wife Eleanor Strubing (Kate Hudson), a Greenwich socialite.
