Uber Takes First Steps In Legal Battle To Retain London License

On Friday, Uber filed a court appeal to overturn a decision by London's transport regulator that removed the taxi app's operating license in its most important European market. The Silicon Valley firm was shocked by the Transport for London decision that the company was unfit to run a taxi service and was refused a renewal on its license. The TFL cited Uber's approach to reporting serious criminal offenses and background checks on drivers.
