George Weah in the running to become president of Liberia

Former FIFA World Player of the Year George Weah has taken an early lead in Liberia's presidential elections. He is leading in 14 of Liberia's voting regions. The partial results account for a third of the vote. He must win over 50% of the vote by October 25 to become President, or the two leading candidates will advance to a run off in November
