FX Productions Signs "Ex Machina" Auteur To Overall Deal

Alex Garland - who wrote Danny Boyle's classic zombie film "28 Days Later..." and wrote and directed 2014's "Ex Machina" - is heading to the small screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated writer, producer and director has inked an overall deal with FX productions. Referencing the partnership, president of original programming Eric Schrier said "Alex’s gifts as a writer have long been apparent, and he made a huge impression with his directorial debut 'Ex Machina.
