Minneapolis Mayor Wants Answers After Police Killing
Wochit Headline News - Monday, 17 July 2017
Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges is calling for an investigation into why officers were not using their body cameras when an Australian woman who called police for help over the weekend ended up shot and killed. In keeping with a policy adopted in 2014, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the shooting instead of the Minneapolis Police Department. Mayor Hodges said she was "heartsick and deeply disturbed" by the shooting of Justine Damond.
