Arizona Flash Flood Kills 5 Children, 4 Adults

An Arizona creek turne deadly when a group of adults, teens and children from the Phoenix and Flagstaff areas met on Saturday for a day-trip at a popular swimming hold near Payson. Heavy rainfall just upstream in the Tonto National Forest unleashed 6-foot-high floodwaters onto the group, leaving 9 bodies in its wake. A search an rescue team recovered the bodies of five children and 4 adults. A 13-year-old from the same group remains missing.
