Trump Cuts $213 Mil From Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs

Wochit Headline News - Monday, 17 July 2017
The Trump administration has pulled over $213 million in funding for teen pregnancy prevention programs. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has chosen to end the five-year grants that had been awarded by the Obama administration to programs designed to help teenagers make healthy decisions regarding sex. While serving as a Congressman in Georgia, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price was a supporter of abstinence-only sex education. The issue is likely not money related, since the GOP recently requested $28.5 billion more than Trump initially requested for war funding.
