Brazil's Temer accused of corruption and obstruction of justice

euronews (in English) - Saturday, 20 May 2017
Brazil’s president Michel Temer is being accused of corruption and the obstruction of justice by the country’s top prosecutor. It came as the Supreme Court released explosive plea bargain testimony accusing him, along with former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff of receiving millions in bribes. It raises serious doubts about whether Temer, who replaced the impeached Rousseff last year, can maintain his grip on the presidency amid the string of corruption scandals which have engulfed the country. Temer has denied any wrongdoing.
