Insects that spread Chagas disease have an odd and misleading nickname: kissing bugs. That's because they like biting humans around their lips and faces as they sleep. Then, they poop into the wound! Eww! To make matters worse, their feces harbors an infectious parasite: Trypanasoma cruzi. According to CNN, a new study reveals deaths fueled by the infection are much more common than we know -- and are going unrecognized.
