According to TheWrap, "Suicide Squad's" David Ayer is in early talks to direct and rewrite Universal’s “Scarface” remake. The 1983 crime film written by Oliver Stone and directed by Brian De Palma was itself a remake of the 1932 film starring James Cagney and directed by Howard Hawks. The 80's version told the story of Cuban refugee Tony Montana - played by Al Pacino - and his rise and fall as drug kingpin in 1980's.
