A bearded dragon was recently “sworn into” the Avondale Police Department in Arizona. The department jokingly said that the dragon was able to sniff out illicit drugs more accurately than K-9’s. It turns out the whole arrangement was just a late April Fools’ Day joke. ‘The swearing-in’ was consider to be a funny promotion for the bearded dragon from mascot to full officer.
