WASHINGTON -- The U.S. government is barring passengers on Royal Jordanian Airlines flights from bringing laptops, iPads, cameras and other electronics in carry-on luggage on certain U.S.-bound flights starting Tuesday, the airline said in a tweet Monday. A U.S. official tells CBS News that the prohibitions on some electronics from select countries on flights to the U.S. is based on information developed overseas about a threat. The official adds the threat has to be taken seriously.
