Trump Adviser in Contact With Russia On Day of Sanctions

According to sources, President-elect Donald Trump's choice for national security adviser, Michael Flynn, held multiple phone conversations with Russia's US ambassador the same day the United States imposed new sanctions on the country for its interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. In late December, President Barack Obama ordered the expulsion of 35 Russian suspected spies and imposed sanctions on two Russian intelligence agencies.
