‘Patriots Day’ Opens To $560,000

Lionsgate's thriller "Patriots Day" took in $560,000 in its limited release Thursday night from about 2,000 theaters. The film, directed by Peter Berg, keeps true to history as it recreates the manhunt for the men responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Monaghan, and Alex Wolff, and currently has a rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. "Patriots Day" will expand to 3,120 theaters on Friday.
