Geli ESyst™ provides robust site analytics and system design recommendations for commercial & industrial energy storage projects
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 19, 2017
Today, Geli, a provider of energy storage control and monitoring software, launched Geli ESyst™ - a free web-based design tool to aid project developers in right-sizing and selecting energy storage and solar-plus-storage systems for commercial and industrial facilities. With the release of ESyst™, Geli has created the industry’s first end-to-end software platform that encompasses system design, automation, monitoring, and fleet management.
Geli ESyst™ is a direct response to the overwhelming number of project analysis requests that the Geli team has received from solar developers and other partners in the past few years. “We found that our data scientists were spending more time producing site analysis reports than working on our machine-learning algorithms, so we had to find a way to enable our partners with the same analytic capabilities that we possessed in-house,” said Andrew Tanner, VP of Business Development at Geli. “Though the analytic processes that underpin Geli ESyst™ are quite complex, ESyst™ users can now size energy storage systems in just minutes” he added.
Using a beta version of the tool, in the past 12 months 500-plus select Geli developer partners have analyzed more than 1,000 facilities and generated more than 150 MWh of energy storage project proposals. Unlike other energy storage sizing calculators, Geli ESyst™ is built with the entirety of a project’s lifecycle in mind, connecting analytics to hardware automation.
Key features of Geli ESyst™ include:· 75 different hardware solution combinations, ranging in size from 30 kilowatts to more than a megawatt, from leading suppliers such as Delta Electronics, Dynapower, Lockheed Martin, Princeton Power, Ideal Power, and LG Chem
· 10,000+ tariffs in 1,300 U.S. utility territories with which users can model commercial and industrial energy storage and solar-plus-storage systems
· Detailed site analysis that presents energy and demand charges pre- and post-installation of energy storage or solar-plus-storage systems
· Downloadable project pro formas and PDF reports that detail optimal savings to be achieved with an energy storage or solar-plus-storage system
“Geli’s goal is to enable all energy project developers with the tools necessary to design and deploy intelligent energy storage systems,” said Ryan Wartena, co-founder and President of Geli. “A robust analytics and design platform is key to providing a seamless, transparent process for development that can be tied with project performance once a system is operating.”
Geli ESyst™ is free for Geli developer partners, and new users can request an account at esyst.geli.net
