Seattle Mayor Ed Murray proposes income tax for city’s ‘high-end’ households

The mayor’s income-tax proposal came as surprise to many at the candidates’ forum, and seemingly to former Mayor Mike McGinn, who in launching his campaign this week had called for such a tax.
